Fulgir

FULGIR · THE SKÓUG TROLL OF VINA’S BEND

Fulgir was a friend before anything else, a warmhearted skóug troll with kindness as her compass in life. After all, she was the only troll besides Agagkantor who welcomed Sýstir, a huldra, into her heart. It began in a bend of the river Nivir, where, after Fulgir was saved from drowning in the freezing waters by the mysterious huldra, a friendship slowly took root.

Despite a future that would be tainted by betrayal, and even as Sýstir shunned their friendship, Fulgir never forgot being saved by the river, a place she had named Vina’s Bend, from a word she understood to mean friend. Eventually, that name even spread around the Rise, catching on among other väsen as well—though only Fulgir knew the name was to honor Sýstir.
